CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS OF THE FILM CONTEST!
The Green Film Festival of Puerto Rico is an event to showcase environmental short films created by Elementary and Middle school students in the island. Its purpose is to integrate various disciplines and the art of filmmaking to raise awareness about how to protect our environment and conserve the planet for all living things.

The film competition is designed to raise awareness on environmental topics and promote audiovisual production with solutions that balance human beings and their interaction with the environment.
1. There is no fee to enter the competition.
2. The competition is open to Elementary and Middle school students.
3. Fill out the entry form.
4. All entries must be the students’ original work.
5. The use of AI-generators is not permitted.
1. You can film with a smartphone (Iphone, Android), Ipad, laptop and or a handheld camera device.
2. The film should be recorded horizontally and in the highest resolution available in your digital device. They are meant to be seen on a movie theatre screen.
3. Choose from one of these categories:
“Shooting Star” – films of 15 to 30 seconds
"Fireball” - films of 1 to 3 minutes

1. Show the beauty of our planet and how to preserve it through climate solutions.
2. Step outside the box. There is much more to Climate Action than recycling. You can also feature topics such as nature conservancy, waste reduction, energy, air pollution, food security.
3. If you're stuck about your idea or how to film it, reach out to us. We're here to help.
1. If you are submitting more than one project, you need to fill out an Entry Form per film.
2. If you’re working in a group, the director of the film is to fill out the Entry Form.
3. Make sure wardrobe for on-screen actors is appropriate for children between the ages of 5 and 15.
4. Watch for words that might be offensive to others.
1. Name your file accordingly. Example file name: FULLNAMEOFSTUDENT_NAMEOFFILM.mp4
2. Email your Film and the Entry Form to greenfilmfestivalpr@gmail.com.
3. All submissions must be received by April 5, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
The film event is hosted by Robinson School and will take place on Earth Day, April 22, 2024 at the Fundación Angel Ramos film theatre of the Centro Criollo de Ciencia y Tecnología (C3Tec) where all films will be screened and the winners announced.
